Who will sit on the Iron Throne?

Game of Thrones, the only show I’ll suffer through a self-induced anxiety attack on a weekly basis for. #GOT is a Sunday tradition at our house and with only 4 episodes left I’m pretty sure everyone has theory or two on who will sit on the Iron Throne (if anyone does oOoOoO WHATS UP NIGHT KING) and some are more bearable than others. Lets be realistic, does anyone actually want Cersei to win it all?

I have always been one to root for the underdog, there is just something poetic about a David Vs Goliath show down. Resiliency, the ability to bounce back despite set backs and challenges is something I truly admire. Game of Thrones has a ton of characters that have demonstrated great resiliency but not many who have suffered with such grace and dignity as Sansa Stark.

Sansa Stark is the phoenix of Game of Thrones: renewal, rebirth, destruction. Ancient legend paints a picture of a magical bird, radiant and shimmering with eyes that are blue and shine like sapphires. It dies by bursting into flames and the is gloriously reborn from the ashes to start a new life. Sansa is introduced as a tween, about 13, spoiled and self-centered. She’s easy to hate and dismiss in the beginning and Game of Thrones always has a way of making it even. Sansa paid dearly for her teenage dreams. She suffered greatly under Cersei, Joffrey, and Ramsay’s care. She adapted however, and consistently showed strength, compassion, and critical thinking skills.

She has transformed since escaping Ramsay and taking back the north. She has the Northern Lords behind her as well as the strength of the Eyre. She has learned from the best how to lie and scheme during her time in Kings Landing and with LittleFinger. She has risen from the ashes as Lady of Winterfell. A queenship has been woven into her narrative the whole show and though she has made many statements that she has no desire to leave the North I have hope that maybe if the enemies to the South and the North can be taken care of we can make it happen.
